SUSTAINABLE ENERGY IRELAND GRANTS AVAILABLE

The following grants, discounts and incentives make efficient economical heating systems affordable.

 Seai Grant increased to €750

 HOME RENOVATION INCENTIVE

 ENERGY EFFICIENCY INCENTIVE 2015-2016

•  High efficiency gas boiler
•  Two heating zones central heating/Hot water 
•  7 Day 2 channel programmer 
•   Room thermostat and motorised valve 
•   Cylinder thermostat and motorised valve 
•   Boiler interlock to prevent short cycling 
•   An additional heating zone or a minimum of 3 TRV's 
•  Time and temperature controlled immersion water heater 

 €1200 for Solar hot water systems

Grants can be applied for and approved on-line. Work should not commence prior to grant approval.

A BER certificate is now required for all grant work. There is a €50 grant for a first BER cert.

Boiler replacements and heating control upgrades qualify for the home renovation initiative.The vat becomes a tax credit, further reducing the cost of the installation.

Since June 2009 it is a criminal offence to work on gas installations if not a registered gas installer.
